Every now and then, something comes into my life that is truly extraordinary; life-changing even. There have been many new foods I've tried throughout my life, but there are only a few that stick with me forever. I don't think I'm jumping to conclusions when I say that Everything Bagel Seasoning has filled a missing void in my life.
Yes, when I first heard about the cult classic "Everything But the Bagel" seasoning blend being sold at Trader Joe's, I was hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. I didn't know why I would buy this random seasoning mix that seemed so unnecessary and over-hyped. Eventually, I caved and bought my first bottle of Everything Bagel Seasoning. And, my life was changed forever.
Yes, my obsession was first fueled by Trader Joe's, and not Costco. It was at my local Trader Joe's, three years ago, where I bought my first bottle of Everything Bagel Seasoning. They sell these bottles for $1.99 each- a price I simply could not refuse.
As we know, Costco is notoriously known for their bulk sized products. Although Trader Joe's is fantastic in its own way, I had to go back to the store every other month to grab a new bottle of Everything Bagel Seasoning. When I found out Costco was selling this Everything Bagel Seasoning in a GIANT sprinkle container- I simply could not refuse. For under $5, I actually cried tears of joy when I took this bottle home.
I don't even know where to start with my love for Everything Bagel Seasoning. This seasoning blend has brought so much flavor into my life. At its core, the Everything Bagel Seasoning consists of sesame seeds, salt flakes, garlic, onion, and poppy seeds. This diverse blend of seeds and spices all seamlessly work together to create a savory seasoning that can be sprinkled on essentially everything.
The sheer versatility of the Everything Bagel Seasoning might be what I love most about it. Again, the flavor it adds to all of my foods is simply remarkable. I tend to be pretty generous when I am pouring my Everything Bagel Seasoning. The simple flavors of the salt, garlic, and onion work to add that extra boost of deliciousness to every dish. The seeds add such a great crunch factor and make any dish look more colorful and delectable.
I put Everything Bagel Seasoning on just about everything (pun intended). Some of my
go-tos include avocado toast, salads, plain bagels with cream cheese, pasta, and sandwiches. But again, I literally put this stuff everywhere. I have experimented with eggs, pizza bagels, soups and more. And I can confidently say, the Everything Bagel Seasoning has yet to fail me.
