Today (June 20) is the first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere!!! Summer vibes are my favorite type of vibes- the weather is warm, and it's a time for having fun + de-stressing !!
Where I live, the weather has been getting rather HOT lately 🥵🥵🥵. As a result, today I would like to share a DELICIOUS, HEALTHY, AND EASY TO PREPARE FROZEN SNACK!!
One of my go-to summer recipes is frozen yogurt bark. It's super customizable and the perfect cold snack for the warm weather.
THE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- Yogurt: any type of yogurt will work- if you are using unflavored yogurt, I suggest adding some sweetener + vanilla extract
- Toppings: some of my favorites are fresh fruit, chocolate chips, or nuts
Steps:
Line a tray with wax paper and set aside.
Pour your yogurt into a bowl and whisk to create a smooth consistency
Spread yogurt evenly onto your tray
Sprinkle on your toppings
Freeze for ~4 hours until frozen, or freeze overnight
When frozen, break apart into squares or chunks + enjoy!
The possibilities are really endless with frozen yogurt bark! Plus, making this bark are a fun activity do with kids- they can choose all the toppings and mix them in themselves :)
They're a great healthier alternative to ice cream but still hit that refreshing note for me. Happy Summer 2020!!! 💙
